House clearing drills was something the Canadians perfected in Italy in 1943. In particular, Ortona. Although probably not as brutal as the Russian Front.

Very true. I reference Ortona in one of the LOS scenarios I made for the new edition. It is also a possible expansion for the Tactical Combat System series of rules.

I remember that in LOS. The LERs 49th Battalion is my home unit that was in Ortona with the Three Rivers Armour Regiment.
