G15 Hellcat
The G15 is the Machines answer to the mobility vs combat power paradigm. By combining G3 and G5 technologies, the extremely adaptable G15 was born. The G15 has the ability to transform between a Mobility Form and a more sturdy Combat Form, so while it retains the disadvantages of both the G3 and G5, those disadvantages are only apparent to the G15s opponent when they manage to catch it unprepared.
Transformation:
- When placing the G15 and then again each time it is activated, the owning player must declare which form the G15 will be in for this turn, whichever form is picked, is what it remains in until the G15 is activated in its next turn.
- The G15 has 2 hits, these hits are shared between both of its Forms, so a loss of hit points in one Form will be applied to the other too.
Mobility Form
- Armour Modifier: -1
- Movement Points: 6
- This form frees up all limbs for movement, but once the G15 gets in close, it can take advantage of the extra limbs to tear its opponents apart. As such the G15 has a lethal melee attack that is only available in Mobility Form.
- In addition to armour plates being folded back to allow the transformation, the ability to throw grenades is also lost in Mobility Form.
Combat Form
- Armour Modifier: 0
- Movement Points: 4
Armament:
- Hellfire Cannon
- M-G5 Prometheus Bomb x2 (only available in Combat Form)
- Krallen {Range 1, ROF 2, base 3+ to hit} (only available in Mobility Form)
Keen to here back of what you think! đ
What a great and cool idea for a very different machine. I could see this as a Hero figure as well. I figure it would be a high UPV but tactically it has a lot of options.
Thank you for the kind words Marco! Its a bit of fun trying to come up with missions and such while awaiting the real thing! As far as UPV, I donât have too much experience with that, but I figure the G15 is less resilient than the MK7 who's 168 UPV, also less deadly in close combat, but more so at longer range; Would you say 120 UPV would be a approximation good enough to play test with?
@SteinEriksen It is slightly less resilient true but it is more versatile so we have to grade it on the highest cost of each part. I think it would be around 160 UPV to start out and see how that plays out. I think they are close.
@marco That's a fair point, and actually that makes testing really easy as I'll just make a straight swap of the MK7 for a G15 in any mission! Thanks for the input, I'll let you know how it goes!
